In a September announcement, Peoples Bank agreed to sell certain assets and all of its deposits and liabilities to Milford-based CenterBank. CenterBank will add Peoples' 19 office branches in Butler, Hamilton, and Warren counties in Ohio, and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana.
Additional details of the deal were disclosed in recent filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The sale is planned to be completed in the coming weeks. With the acquisition of Peoples' deposits, CenterBank would rank 11th locally in bank deposits.
